We raise pasture-raised meat chickens using mobile chicken tractors.
Our birds live outdoors on grass, protected in open-bottom shelters that are moved regularly to fresh pasture. This provides constant access to new ground while keeping the birds safe from predators and the elements.
Because they are raised differently.
Grocery store chicken is produced at massive scale, optimized for speed and lowest possible cost. That system relies on confinement barns, high stocking densities, long supply chains, and externalized costs that the customer never sees.
Our chickens are raised in small batches, outdoors on pasture, in mobile tractors that are moved regularly to fresh grass. They are cared for by us every day, processed locally, and sold directly to the families who eat them.
The price reflects:
- Daily hands-on care
- Lower stocking density and better animal welfare
- Pasture management and land stewardship
- Local processing and short supply chains
- No shortcuts, fillers, or mass production
We are not trying to compete with industrial chicken on price. We are offering a different product entirely. One built around responsibility, transparency, and real food.
Our chickens are fed a quality feed to support healthy growth, supplemented by whatever they naturally find on pasture, including grasses and insects.
We believe good stewardship means balancing animal health, nutrition, and practicality.
Our chickens are pasture-raised, but we are not USDA Certified Organic at this time.
We prioritize transparency over labels and are always happy to explain how our birds are raised and fed.
We are based in Farmersville, Texas.
Pickup locations and times are shared directly with customers when orders are ready.
We sell primarily by pre-order.
Customers reserve birds in advance, and pickup happens on scheduled processing days. Final weights are confirmed at pickup, and any remaining balance is settled then.
This allows us to raise responsibly without overproducing.
At this time, we do not ship.
All orders are local pickup only to ensure quality, safety, and fairness to our customers. We are also happy to chat about local delivery.
Our chickens are processed in small batches following strict cleanliness and food-safety practices.
Careful handling and respect for the animal matter at every step.
We operate under Texas’s small-producer poultry exemption, which allows direct-to-consumer sales within specific limits.
This means:
- No resale to restaurants or stores
- Direct sales only to individuals
- Small, controlled batch sizes
We follow food-safety best practices and keep our process simple and transparent.
We raise animals, not inventory.
We intentionally keep our flock sizes limited so we can care for them well, manage pasture responsibly, and stay hands-on from start to finish.
When we’re sold out, it means the system is working as intended.
At this stage, we do not offer open farm visits.
As we grow, we hope to create opportunities for community days and educational visits while keeping our animals and family protected.
We avoid the term free-range because it can mean many different things.
Our chickens are raised outdoors in mobile pasture tractors. This allows us to protect the birds, manage their health, and steward the land responsibly.
It is not a slogan, but a framework.
Faith as trust and responsibility.
Family as presence and priority.
Freedom as the ability to live deliberately, work with our hands, and raise food the right way.
